Hama English News - Part 2

| Field Conditions in Hama and its Suburbs ||
¤ Hama City:
The people of Hama went out in massive protests from most mosques on the Friday of Damascus: Our Soon-Coming Destination despite the concentrated presence of security forces throughout the city. Regime forces surrounded Abdulrahman bin Awf Mosque in al-Qusour. When the people of al-Arb'een started a protest at al-Hamza Mosque, regime forces opened fire and several explosions were heard in the neighborhoods, leading to several injuries. Intense gunfire was heard near al-Ta'awuneya neighborhood and al-Andalus where security forces were stationed on the roof of the Societal Affairs building.
In Junoob al-Mal'aab and al-'Olayleyat, regime forces shot heavily at protestors. Near al-Furuseya Roundabout opened heavy gunfire with medium machine guns in response to massive anti-regime demonstrations held by the people.
The gunfire and arbitrary shelling killed some people and injured others, some with critical injuries.
In the evening :
The people went out in their daily protests condemning the criminal acts carried out by the regime. Gunfire and explosions were heard in most neighborhoods. 4 shells from the western checkpoint in al-Sawa'eq fell on residential buildings in the neighborhood.

|| Medical Report on the Injuries and Casualties in Hama ||
In regards to those wounded today, it was a disastrous day in which many people were both killed and injured, specifically in Hama city.
9 people were wounded in Janoob al-Mal'aab neighborhood, 2 of whom later died due to a lack of immediate medical attention. One of them suffered a direct injury to the heart and the other was wounded in his genitals. The paramedics could not reach him and get his body because they were being fired upon by regime forces.
One person was wounded in al-Ta'awuneya, and 3 were wounded in Tareeq Halab, one of whom died because his body could not be pulled out from where he was wounded because security forces were firing upon anyone who neared the area. He bled out and died. Two more were wounded in al-Arb'een neighborhood.
Out of the 7 wounded in Janoob al-Mal'aab, 2 of them were in critical condition and were taken to the field hospital. The remaining were cared for at the site of their injury. The injuries were caused by: gunshot wound in the thigh, shrapnel from a nail bomb, gunshot wound in the shoulder, gunshot wound in the left bicep and left leg with heavy bleeding.
One of those wounded in al-Arb'een was in critical condition as he was shot in the chest which forced others to take him to the field hospital so he could be cared for properly.
A summary of the cases being dealt with: 15 were wounded including 2 who died, 3 others who were in critical condition and were taken to a field hospital, and several cases of slight injuries that were not mentioned because they were taken care of right away.
