Casualties and Wounded:
Six victims, one of them a woman, were reported in Damascus Suburbs
today as result of the random shooting by regime forces in residential
areas. A fifteen year old boy was shot by a sniper on his way home in
Harasta, four residents were shot in Douma, Dareyyah and Homria, and a
defected soldier in Dumair. In addition, a dozen injuries were reported.
Some of the injuries in Dareyyah are critical.

Assaults and Human Rights Violations:
Regime forces launched multiple detention and assault campaigns in most
areas as well as inspection missions against the peaceful pedestrians,
vehicles and businesses. Dozens detainees were taken into the regime
forces custody in Kanaker, Qatana, Dumair, Mu’adhameyyatu-Sham and Wadee
Barada. Random shelling and heavy machine gun shooting were launched
day and night on districts and farms in Hamoria and Douma. Military
helicopters flew at low elevation in Douma, Dareyyah and
Mu’adhameyyatu-Sham over the residential areas and farms to terrorize
citizens. Damascus Suburb witnessed heavy security personnel presence
and security reinforcements were brought to Dareyyah to help in the
search for activists and defected soldiers. A curfew was enforced in
Saqba.

Bombardment and Destruction:
Explosions shook several areas in Douma and Kafar-Batna, heavy smoke
rose at the targeted locations. Personal properties destructions, such
burning and shooting on homes and vehicles, and armed engagements
between the regime forces and Free Army soldiers took place as well.
Humanitarian Conditions:
The cities of Kanaker, Hamoria and Harasta continue to live under
siege. Hamoria lacks all forms of communication such as Internet and
cell phones. Dair Al-Asafeer and Mu’adhameyyatu-Sham were on strike in
protest against keeping their victims in custody. United Nation
observers were in Douma and one detainee was released in Qatana.

Demonstrations:
In spite of the regime practices, demonstrations were mobilized day and
night in the suburbs of Damascus. Women were actively involved in the
demonstrations in Dareyyah. Activists demanded the release of all
detainees and victims, the support for Free Army and ill-fated cities,
the overthrow of the regime forces and the execution of Bashar Al-Assad.
