Syria Revolutionary Council of Homs - Media Bureau Press Release - The Killing and Bombing Continue Cespite Annan's Plan The Assad regime has made many promises regionally and internationally, and has broken those promises each time. Today, the regime has again done it, where it has accepted the plan mapped out by Kofi Annan and promised the Arab and International communities of accepting the plan. Meanwhile, on th eground, the regime continues to bomb civilians' homes in Homs, destroyed its houses with tanks, and the regime's artillery and soldiers remain in the street of Homs. The killing meter continues counting nonstop, and on the humanitarian level, walking in Homs is now considered one of the most dangeround activities one can do, because of all the snipers and the falling bombs. There is also severe shortage in food and medical supplies, and complete inability to move around, among other things. Even though the plan does not address the minimum needs of Syrian people and it does not explicitly require stopping the killing and giving Syrians their rightful demands, the Assad regime proves its disregard to the promises it has made and its disrespect toward the regional and international communities. The regime continues to bomb the Old districts of Homs with rockets and the nearby towns of Qusayr, Bweda, Talbiseh and others with its tanks. The regime has disregarded all its legal, humanitarian, and moral standards, and therefore, the world must move immediately to help the people of Syria and to punish the regime that is violating human rights and shedding Syrian blood, and completely disrespecting all regional and international obligations.
